A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RES STUDENT
RCTV filmed a feature video, following one of our students throughout his regular school day. You’ll watch Spencer in his classroom, meet Mrs. Hellauer( 2nd Grade Teacher), Mrs. Swenson (Art Teacher) and our PTO President Mrs. Jackie Brucker. This short video is just a glimpse into our school and some of the great things that happen each day at Royersford Elementary School! Click here to watch.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION IS OPEN
Children who will be five years old by August 31, 2016 will be eligible for Kindergarten in the 2016-2017 school year. Kindergarten registration will begin on February 16, 2016 and end on March 22, 2016.
Parents should select "Student Registration" on the left side of the home page. Once the on-line paperwork is complete, parents will be prompted to select a date and time for the appointment, which will be held at their child’s elementary school. Parents who are unsure of their elementary school, or are unable to select an appointment, should call 610-705-6120.
As a part of the registration process for the 2016-2017 school year, you will be asked if you would like to have your child “screened” for Kindergarten readiness. The screening process will help us identify those students who are most in need of a “boost” before starting kindergarten. These students will be eligible (by invitation) to participate in a Summer Program. Please click here to learn more about the kindergarten screening process.
EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES FOR OUR STUDENTS
Parents, please remember to periodically check the SF home page under Community/ Events & Flyers for various activities that would benefit your children. There are sport sign ups, holiday activities and even drivers ed classes for your older children. This is a great resource and opportunity to stay up to date on all different community events happening around Spring Ford!
Royersford Parents: We encourage you to report any life threatening medical concerns to the transportation department as well as your child’s bus driver. This will help to ensure the safety of your child to and from school. Please click on the link below and view the bus safety video. Thank you!
IMPORTANT - END OF DAY DISMISSAL
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, one of the most important things to us is making sure that children remain safe as they arrive to and dismiss from school. In an effort to ensure a smooth dismissal for students, parents must fill out a dismissal form for each student and return to our school by Thursday, August 6, 2015. This will help to ensure that your child utilizes the mode or method of transportation that you prefer. Keep in mind that we require all parents to fill out a new form each year for each child as we do not use any dismissal information from last school year. Please click here for the form.
Please remember that if you are using a daycare either before school, after school, or both you must fill out a Child Care Transportation form. We appreciate your prompt return of these attached forms as we work together to ensure the safety of our children during arrival and dismissal times.
2015-2016 CHILD CARE TRANSPORTATION FORM
If your child(ren) will be in child care either before school, after school,or both during the 2015-2016 school year, you must complete a "Child Care/Day Care Transportation Form". This is true even if they are attending Y Care in the building. A new form must be completed for each new school year.Click here to access the form. Please fill out and return to the school office prior to the start of school.
Due to a change in the PA State Child Protective
Services Law, effective July 1, 2015, there will be new
clearance requirements for all VOLUNTEERS who would
like to assist in a classroom or the Library, go on a field trip,
or assist with building activities/events. Please read the
information on the district's homepage under Community/Volunteer information
to read about the requirements and clearances you must obtain before
you may volunteer.
2015-2016 SCHOOL SUPPLIES
